The ChosenThe 50 greatest Springboks of all time

Who is the greatest springbok of all time? - Where stand the legends of the early days, the dazzling Stellenbosch centre Japie Krige or the massive Western Province forward fairy Heatlie? - And how do the giants of the modern era, Eben Etzebeth, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Malcolm Marx compare to the legends of yesteryear, to Gerry Brand, Boy louw and Danie Craven? In an assessment that is bound to surprise, the authors with the assistance of former Springbok players, selectors, coaches and historians of Springbok rugby, have reviewed the careers of all those who represented South Africa since 1891 and come up with the definitive ranking of the top 50.
