We have 85+ stores across all nine South African provinces. Use the Store Locator to find the nearest one, see opening hours, and get directions.

How do I find opening hours?

Open the Store Locator, pick your branch, and the page shows the full weekly trading hours plus today's status (open / closing soon / closed). You can also call any store directly from the page.

Can I check if a book is in stock at a specific store?

Accepted Answer

Stock varies by store. Find your nearest store on the Store Locator and call them directly  they'll gladly check the shelf for you.

Can you recommend a book for me?

Currently our book recommendations are best found in our stores with one of our passionate booksellers. Visit your local store and we would be happy to guide you to the next best read for you or your family.

Question 5

How do I request a title that's out of stock?

Accepted Answer

Send Customer Service the title, author and ISBN if you have it. We'll check with our distributors and let you know within 1 business day whether we can source it for you.

Question 6

I'm a self-published author — will you stock my book?

Accepted Answer

Email publishingqueries@bargainbooks.co.za with your title, ISBN, a short pitch and a sample chapter. Our buying team reviews submissions monthly.

Do you take bulk or corporate orders?

Do you sell gift cards?

Accepted Answer

Gift cards are available in all our stores. Pop into your nearest store and one of our passionate booksellers will assist you with your purchase.
