Here is a special message from Jeff Kinney in this time of crisis:
WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER
While we are dealing with a terrible crisis, please know this: One day we’ll look back on these days as a time when we forged stronger connections with our families, got to better know our neighbours (from a safe distance!), and laid the foundations for a better tomorrow.
As you and your family stay indoors for the good of all, remember that there are new worlds to explore, and humour to be found, in the pages of a good book. Authors from all around the world are with you in solidarity. We wish you good health and a bright future.
Kids all over the world can’t get enough of author, Jeff Kinney’s, hilarious, relatable stories about Greg Heffley and his friends in his incredible bestselling series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
There are thirteen books in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and four additional books: The Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book, The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary, The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary: The Next Chapter, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Special Cheesiest Edition.
All the main books are the journals of the main character, Greg Heffley. Befitting a teen’s diary, the books are filled with hand-written notes and simple drawings of Greg’s daily adventures.
In 2019 Greg’s best friend Rowley Jefferson, got his own book — Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid. Rowley writes about his experiences and agrees to play the role of biographer for Greg along the way. (After all, one day Greg will be rich and famous, and everyone will want to know his life’s story.) But Rowley is a poor choice for the job, and his “biography” of Greg is a hilarious mess.
Perfect for readers of 8+ and also reluctant readers, everyone loves the adventures of Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson.
Look out for Rowley Jefferson’s Awesome Friendly Adventure coming later this year.
To help ease the bored of lockdown we have some great Jeff Kinney activities to download.
